The cellar "Canalicchio Sotto" he is purchased by the family Lambardi in 1965, such ownership also included already a small of promiscuous vineyard; it was so that immediately takings body the idea to make wine and already in 1973 the first Brunello of Montalcino went out in 500 bottles fruit of a small barrel from 4 Hl and of the tiny cellar.
In 1967, after the recognition of the DOC, it was an important date for the Brunello: a small group of producers decided to protect their wine and they founded the Consortium of the Wine Brunello of Montalcino. My father was among these people: farsighted in the thought that this wine would have become a point of diamond in the Italian excellences and as such you had to be disciplined and protected.
Today the firm Lambardi counts 6.5 almost entirely have of vineyard affiliate to Brunello of Montalcino docg, it produces 12.000 bottles it divided among Red of Montalcino, Brunello of Montalcino.
