Benvenuto Brunello in Japan

After the USA, Italy and Germany, the 2019 calendar provides for Brunello a visit to the Far East, in Japan. Previously in the capital, Tokyo, on May 27th, at the evocative Happo-en garden, and then in Osaka, on May 29th, at the Hotel Monterey Osaka. During the two events, promoted by the Consortium of Wine Brunello di Montalcino 20 wineries from Montalcino will present the new vintages of Brunello, Brunello Riserva, Rosso di Montalcino, Moscadello and Sant’Antimo.

Simultaneously with the tastings, in-depth seminars will be held about Montalcino, its history and its terroir, combined with six tastings of Brunello and Brunello Riserva, run by the director of the Consortium of Vino Brunello di Montalcino Giacomo Pondini and some important sommeliers. Taku Iguro will participate in Tokyo event, while in Osaka there will be Wataru Iwata, the winner of the ASI Best Sommelier of Asia & Oceania 2018. Participation will be reserved only for sector operators.
