Franca Franci's Tassi winery was born almost twenty years ago. Out of respect for our territory originated the decision to begin the process of conversion of the azienda to organic farming, firmly determined to express itself through a craft production characterised by manual handling. From this approach were born two distinct kinds of Brunello: Tassi and Franci, two wines originating from distinct vineyards in order to preserve and promote the unique qualities of each. The Tassi vine - with a denser plantation of Sangiovese - produces a structured, fresh, elegant and fruity Brunello. The Franci vine on the other hand, although it too is south-facing, is over 40 years of age and is more spaciously planted, giving form to a Brunello that is more complex, traditional, refined and full-bodied. The Riserva, made only in a few thousand bottles, is produced exclusively from the finest harvests. The winery, that produces also Rosso di Montalcino and IGT, has recently acquired another hectare of vineyards and completed the construction of the new wooden cellar.
